As one of the three finalists, The Swedish Wool Initiative project has been nominated for the Habit Sustainability Award of the Year, an award given by the fashion industry magazine Habit. The award is given to “a Swedish company, project or organization with an outstandingly clear, measurable and pronounced sustainability strategy.”

We are so proud to have been nominated for this award. Our vision is to reach zero Swedish wool waste, and awards like this give us and our partners the extra energy needed to continue that path. Among other things, the project recently launched a new Swedish wool standard that will open up completely new market opportunities for fashion and textile companies. We look forward to continuing the work!

Two more finalists are nominated for their efforts; Woolpower and Icebug. In the next step, a winner will be selected, which takes place during Habit Fashion Awards 2023 in October 5.

Habit is a fashion industry magazine that monitors business and trends in the fashion industry and organizes events such as the Habit Fashion Gala, Habit Sustainable Production Day and Habit Fashion Awards. Every year, Habit recognizes sustainability initiatives in the fashion industry, with their Sustainability Award of the Year.
