EAT Stockholm Food Forum
EAT Stockholm Food Forum is an initiative previously supported by Axfoundation. Axfoundation was a Strategic Partner to EAT in 2014 and 2015.
EAT Stockholm Food Forum is an annual conference where over 650 global leaders from science, politics and business share knowledge, discuss the challenges and opportunities linked to food, health and sustainability. The goal is to—through collaborations between research, industry and politics—develop solutions that can create a healthy and sustainable food industry able to feed the world’s soon 9 billion people. To achieve this, EAT has identified seven priority areas of research.
At the first conference in 2014 speakers included Bill Clinton, Professor Johan Rockström (Stockholm Resilience Center) and Peter Bakker (World Business Council for Sustainable Development).
At the 2015 EAT Food Forum Axfoundation in collaboration with WWF, the Dag Hammarskjöld Foundation and the Food Choice Task Force organized a workshop on The Future of Protein. The discussion focused on alternative protein sources, such as lab-produced meat, plant-based protein, insects and aquaculture. Axfoundation also participated in the expert forum Multifunctional Landscapes and Seascapes.
