Do you have an idea for a new food product with the potential to contribute to a more sustainable society? Then you can apply for Axfoundation’s Innovation Support.
Since 2022, we have offered hands-on support at Torsåker Farm to entrepreneurs, researchers, or individuals who want to further develop their solutions that can contribute to a more sustainable food system. With the support, you gain access to a test kitchen, a restaurant-grade kitchen, and basic lab environments – as well as guidance from Axfoundation’s Torsåker Team on site. The support is available for a limited number of days and is tailored to your project’s needs and wishes in dialogue with us.
Why We Do This – and What We Can Do for You
Torsåker Farm is the site where Axfoundation conducts testing and development within our two program areas: Future Food and Future Materials. Located 30 km north of Stockholm, it is a place where research and practice meet in a real-world environment.
The Innovation Support is part of our long-term efforts to back others who also aim to transform the food system in a more sustainable direction. We live in a time where the planet’s life-sustaining systems are under significant pressure – it is clear that we cannot solve today’s challenges with yesterday’s thinking. We need more people who dare to think differently, test boldly, and build better.
Axfoundation’s Innovation Support for sustainable solutions is all about that: by offering tangible resources – space, tools, experience – we want to lower the barriers for innovations that make a real difference.
Practical Support – What You Gain Access To
As a recipient of the support, you will have access for a defined period to the farm’s modern test kitchen, restaurant kitchen, and basic lab environments.
You will also have the opportunity to receive support from our experienced staff in gastronomy, product development, and sensory science – as sounding boards, test panels, or advisors. All to help you take your solution to the next level. You do not need to have a finished product to apply – the support is given to projects driven by curiosity, ambition, and potential to create impact. Whether you’re in an early idea phase or ready to test a kitchen-scale prototype, you’re welcome to apply.
The support is practical and non-financial. You retain full ownership of your innovation and all results developed during your time at Torsåker Farm. Axfoundation makes no claims to your idea or solution.

At Torsåker Farm, knowledge and experiences are shared through a wide range of actors from both industry and academia.
