Stina Behrens

Stina has been working at Axfoundation since 2021, and in her role as a Project Manager within the  Future Materials team she leads initiatives at the intersection of circular economy, technology and system innovation. Her work focuses on translating complex sustainability challenges into practical, scalable solutions by combining circular business models with enabling digital infrastructure. 

Stina has initiated and led The Fiber Traceability Initiative and has also initiated and led  ReValue a project exploring DPP-driven resale business models in fashion, as well as a project focused on increasing Circular furniture flows. In parallel, she has represented Axfoundation in SwePass, contributing within two work packages and supporting the development of shared approaches that enable traceability and circular value chains. 

Stina has extensive experience in sustainable service and business development. She has contributed to the development of Barkarby Science, an innovation arena and test bed for sustainable urban development connected to Barkarbystaden in Stockholm. Stina has also worked as a management consultant and team lead at one of Sweden's leading service design agencies, where she developed offerings within sustainable business development and worked with a large number of organizations in both the private and public sector. 

In addition, Stina has served for several years on the jury for the Swedish Trade Federations sustainability award and has previously been a board member of Cradlenet. Stina holds a BA in Behavioural Science from Stockholm University and a BA in Arts and Design from Beckmans School of Design. Stina is also educated at Stockholm's Resilience Center, where she studied Balticlead, a leadership program in systems entrepreneurship and sustainable development.
